About approval, change, amendment and cancellation of some regulations of National Bank of Moldova

No. 193-197, 661) DECIDES: Administrative board of National Bank of Moldova

1. Approve Regulations about payment cards, according to appendix No. 1.

2. Approve Regulations about the credit translation, according to appendix No. 2.

3. The regulations about activities of banks in systems of international money transfer approved by the Resolution of Administrative board of National Bank of Moldova No. 204 of October 15, 2010 (Monitorul Oficial al Republicii Moldova, 2010, No. 231234, the Art. 900) registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova at No. 799 of November 19, 2010 to change and add as follows:

1) the Name of Regulations will have the following content:

"Regulations about activities of payment service providers in money transfer systems";

6. Recognize invalid some regulations of National Bank of Moldova, according to appendix No. 3.

Regulations about payment cards

Chapter I General provisions

1. Subject of Regulations about payment cards (further - Regulations) is the regulation of activities of payment service providers and their clients in payment systems by means of payment cards.

2. For the purpose of these regulations the following concepts are used:

The calculating agent - National Bank of Moldova or bank of the Republic of Moldova which provides finality of calculations for the transactions in national currency performed by means of payment cards in the territory of the Republic of Moldova within payment system by means of payment cards according to the requirements established by the organizer of system and these Regulations.

Permission to implementation of transaction by means of payment card - permission of the supplier issuer to implementation of certain transaction by means of the payment card emitted by it.
