1. Approve the enclosed Rules of change of record about nationality of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan in passports, identity certificates and acts of civil status.

2. Determine that change of record about nationality in passports and identity certificates of citizens is made according to their written application once by law-enforcement bodies based on the certificate of birth and other documents confirming justification of the petition.

Change of record about nationality in acts of civil status is made by bodies of the REGISTRY OFFICE based on the petition from the citizen after submission of necessary documents.

2-1. Permit to change by way of exception records about nationality in passports, identity certificates and acts of civil status of the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who are violently moved during repressions on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on the certificates of rehabilitation issued according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of April 14, 1993 "About recovery of victims of mass political repressions".

3. To the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan to bring into accord with this resolution the existing departmental acts.

The above-named changes are made by bodies of the REGISTRY OFFICE without creation of the conclusion based on the petition from the citizen, the passport or the identity certificate of the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the certificate of law-enforcement body of issue of the new passport or the identity certificate of the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the changed nationality and the certificates which are subject to replacement.

8. After modification district, city, district departments (bureau) of the REGISTRY OFFICE in the city direct in regional, Almaty city archives of the REGISTRY OFFICE of the notice on entering of similar changes into the second copies of assembly records.

9. Disputes on change of record about nationality in passports and identity certificates of citizens are permitted according to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan judicially.
