AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE PARTIES OF COMMONWEALTH OF INDEPENDENT STATES

About Council for tourism of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States

The governments of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties for the purpose of implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism of December 23, 1993,

attaching great value to further development of cooperation in the field of tourism,

aiming at coordination of interaction in the main directions of tourist activities,

realizing that development of such cooperation is equitable to interests of the people of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties for coordination of cooperation in the field of tourism create Council for tourism of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States (further - Council) from heads of relevant organs of the government of the State Parties of the CIS.

Article 2

Council considers conceptual questions, determines the priority directions and forms of cooperation in the field of tourism, submits in accordance with the established procedure for consideration of Council of CIS Heads of Government of the offer, directed to the solution of specific objectives in the field of tourism.

Article 3

Council performs the activities on the basis of Regulations on Council for tourism of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States which are integral part of this agreement.

Article 4

This agreement does not affect the rights and obligations of each of the Parties following for it from other international treaties which participant is its state.

Article 5

In the consent of the Parties changes and additions which are its integral part which are drawn up by the relevant protocol can be made to this agreement.

Article 6

The matters of argument between the Parties arising in case of application and interpretation of this agreement are solved by consultations and negotiations of concerned parties or by means of other procedure approved by the Parties.

Article 7

This agreement becomes effective after 30 days from the date of receipt by depositary of the third notification on accomplishment by the Parties of the interstate procedures necessary for its entry into force which signed it.

For the Parties which performed interstate procedures later this agreement becomes effective after 30 days from the date of receipt by depositary of the relevant documents.

Article 8

This agreement after its entry into force is open for accession of any state by transfer to depositary of the document on accession.

For the State Party of the CIS this agreement becomes effective after 30 days from the date of receipt by depositary of the document on accession.

For the state, not being the member of the CIS, this agreement becomes effective after 30 days from the date of receipt by depositary of the last notification on the consent of the states which signed it or joined it on such accession.

Article 9

This agreement is signed sine die. Each of the Parties has the right to leave this agreement, having sent to depositary the written notice of such intention not later than 6 months to exit and having settled the financial and other liabilities which arose during operation of the Agreement.

It is made in the city of Ashgabat on May 30, 2012 in one authentic copy in Russian. The authentic copy is stored in Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States which will send to each state which signed this agreement, its verified copy.

Regulations on Council for tourism of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States

I. General provisions

1.1. Council on tourism of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States (further - Council) is created for the purpose of implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism of December 23, 1993 (further - the Agreement), expansions and strengthenings of the international tourist backgrounds of the State Parties of the CIS and the world community.

Council is body of industry cooperation of the CIS in the field of tourism and is urged to organize and coordinate execution of the decisions made by Council of heads of states, Council of Heads of Government, Council of Foreign Ministers and CIS Economic Council.

1.2. The main objective of Council is assistance to development of equal and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of tourism through state bodies, national, regional, international and other tourism organizations.
