About protection and use of immovable historical and cultural monuments and the historical circle

1. This Law governs the relations connected with activities for detection, documentation, studying, the state accounting, protection, to use, preservation, repair, restoration, movement, change of immovable historical and cultural monuments (further – monument), and also to protection and use of their historical circle.
2. The monuments which are in the territory of the Republic of Armenia are under protection of the state.
1. In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
1) immovable historical and cultural monument – archaeological occupation layers, parking of the Stone Age, cave dwelling, construction, their complexes about the occupied by them and the territory related historically, having historical or archaeological or architectural value or value of monumental art or scientific, art or other cultural value taken on the state accounting and having the status of monuments, archaeological, art, lithographic, ethnographic elements, fragments, frescos which are their part, historical and cultural objects, historical landscapes and sights, town-planning and historic centers of historical settlements irrespective of degree of their safety;
2) historical and cultural object – the object which is again revealed and taken on the state accounting which did not receive the status of newly appeared monument yet;
3) newly appeared monument – again revealed or again estimated object protected in the procedure established by the legislation, the received certain status having historical, scientific, art or other cultural value, before its inclusion in the state list of monuments;
