About approval of provisions concerning carrying out approbation and registration of selection achievements in livestock production

According to article 11 of the Law of Ukraine "About breeding case in livestock production" and subitem 7.64 of the subitem 7 of item 4 of the Regulations on the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine approved by the Presidential decree of Ukraine of April 23, 2011 No. 500, I ORDER:

1. Approve enclosed:

1.1. Provision on carrying out approbation of selection achievements in livestock production.

1.2. Regulations on the State register of selection achievements in livestock production.

2. To department of livestock production (Getya A. A.) provide in accordance with the established procedure submission of this order on state registration in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

3. (Akhidzhanov B. R.) to provide to department of livestock production, Department of financial credit policy the edition of the above-stated provisions.

4. Recognize the lost Regulations on approbation of selection achievements in livestock production approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine and the Ukrainian academy of agrarian sciences on July 3, 1992.

5. To impose control over the implementation of the order on the deputy minister Senya O. V.

6. This order becomes effective from the date of its official publication.

Provision on carrying out approbation of selection achievements in livestock production

І. General provisions

1.1. This Provision determines rules and evaluation procedure of breeding and productive qualities of the new created and improved existing breeds, intra pedigree (zone) types and other domestic selection achievements in livestock production (further - selection achievements).

1.2. This Provision extends to subjects of managing in livestock production irrespective of pattern of ownership who take part in creation of selection achievements.

1.3. Terms which are used in this Provision have such value:

group of authors - group of specialists who took part in creation of selection achievement;

approbation - commission assessment of selection achievements in livestock production;

basic subjects of managing are owners of breeding animals who were directly involved in creation and cultivation of selection achievement according to programs of selection;

the outstanding animal - the animal of certain breed, type, the line, herd estimated by origin to own productivity and heritable qualities also has considerable advantages on manifestation of morphological, productive and other economic and useful features;

outstanding uterus is uterus with record productivity which in two and more times exceeds the standard of the corresponding breed and left valuable breeding posterity in herd or breed;

outstanding producers are "leaders" of breed with high index of breeding value who are used as parents of the next generation of producers and their mothers;

intra pedigree (zone) type - the group of animals which is part of breed created as a result of long creative work of selectors, has, except properties, general for this breed, some characteristic specific features in the direction of productivity, type of constitution and the constitution, the best fitness to local conditions, resistance to diseases and other adverse factors of external environment;

the factory line - group of highly productive breeding animals which originates from one or several outstanding ancestors differs in high-quality originality and inherited properties, characteristic of the ancestor, which are maintained by purposeful selection and matching.
