About the main identity document of the citizen of the Russian Federation in the territory of the Russian Federation
For the purpose of creation of necessary conditions for ensuring constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of the Russian Federation until adoption of the relevant Federal Law on the main identity document of the citizen of the Russian Federation in the territory of the Russian Federation, I decide:
1. Enact the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation which is the main identity document of the citizen of the Russian Federation in the territory of the Russian Federation.
2. To the government of the Russian Federation:
approve sample of the form and the description of the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation, and also regulations on the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation till June 1, 1997;
determine amounts and sources of step-by-step financing of production since 1997 of forms of the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation, acquisition of the technical means and other materials necessary for execution of passports of the citizen of the Russian Federation, and also condition of their production and issue.
3. The passport of the citizen of the USSR proving the identity of the citizen of the Russian Federation is valid before its replacement at the scheduled time for the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation.
