Rules of providing candidate for astronauts, astronaut annual routine inspections, medical and sanatorium treatment

1. General provisions

1. These rules of providing the candidate for astronauts, the astronaut are developed by annual routine inspections, medical and sanatorium treatment (further - Rules) according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of January 6, 2012 "About space activities" and determine procedure for providing with annual routine inspections, medical and sanatorium treatment of the candidate for astronauts, the astronaut on condition of their permanent residence in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also members of their families living together with them.

2. In these rules the following concepts are used:

1) the candidate for astronauts of the Republic of Kazakhstan (further - the candidate for astronauts) the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan who underwent preliminary selection and directed to preparation for receipt of qualification of the astronaut;

2) the astronaut of the Republic of Kazakhstan (further - the astronaut) - the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan who had training, received documents on assignment of qualification of the astronaut (the astronaut-tester, the astronaut-researcher, the instructor-astronaut) and the status of the astronaut;

3) the guaranteed amount of free medical care - the amount of the medical care, single on the list of medical services, provided to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and oralmans, determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. Annual routine inspection of the candidate for astronauts, the astronaut and members of their families is performed in the medical organizations of health care system of the Republic of Kazakhstan (further - the medical organizations) within the guaranteed amount of free medical care.

4. Annually by January 15 the authorized body in the field of space activities sends the notification to the candidate for astronauts, the astronaut about need of passing of annual routine inspection for the medical organizations.

5. Medical attendance of the candidate for astronauts, the astronaut and members of their families is performed in the medical organizations.

6. Medical care within the guaranteed amount of free medical care according to regulatory legal acts in the field of health care is provided to the candidate for astronauts, the astronaut and members of their families.

7. In case of need of the transfer of the patient to the multidisciplinary organizations of health care of the Republic of Kazakhstan giving the stationary help, the republican organizations which are under authority of authorized body in the field of health care for receipt of specialized and highly specialized medical care, transfer is made in the procedure established by the legislation.

The candidate for the astronauts, the astronaut and members of their families having congenital and acquired diseases, and also consequences of sharp, chronic diseases and injuries go for recovery treatment and medical rehabilitation within the guaranteed amount of free medical care according to the rules approved by authorized body in the field of health care.
