About service in reserve of Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Article 1. Purpose of this Law

The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations connected with passing by citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - citizens) services in reserve of Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - Armed Forces).

Article 2. The legislation on service in reserve of Armed Forces

The legislation on service in reserve of Armed Forces consists of this Law, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About general conscription and military service" and other acts of the legislation.

Article 3. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:

reserve of Armed Forces (further - reserve) - the military trained human resources and inventories of material means intended for strengthening acting and creations of new groups of troops in peace and wartime in case of threats of military aggression against the Republic of Uzbekistan, emergency situations, and also for the solution of other tasks on safety and defense capability of the country;

service in reserve - the military service of citizens established on the basis of general conscription for persons liable for call-up from among privates, sergeants and officers who underwent active duty, and also service in mobilization draft reserve for the purpose of completing of connections, parts and divisions of Armed Forces to wartime states and also expansions of forming of wartime;

reservists are the persons liable for call-up who passed military service and consisting in reserve.

Article 4. Transfer in reserve

On military service in reserve citizens, suitable for health reasons to military service, are enlisted:

the taken place compulsory military service, military service in mobilization draft reserve, military service under the contract and received military specialty during its passing;

the taken place compulsory military service and full course of training in the program of training of officers in educational divisions of military preparation (faculties of military training, training centers of military preparation, military departments, cycles and rates) of the highest educational institutions.

Acceptance on military accounting of reservists is carried out by bodies for defense cases.

The procedure for service in reserve is determined by the Regulations on procedure for passing of military service citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Article 5. Categories of reserve

Depending on the level of military preparation and age reservists are subdivided into reserve of the first and second category.

Categories of reserve and age limit of stay in reserve are established by the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About general conscription and military service".

Article 6. Completing of reserve of the first category

The reserve of the first category is completed from among the persons liable for call-up who underwent military service or to the contract on positions of privates, sergeants, aged up to thirty five years, junior officers - up to forty years, the senior officers - up to fifty years, general structure - up to fifty five years.

The reserve of the first category is subdivided into the first and second queues.

The reserve of the first priority is intended for completing of fighting connections, parts and divisions of fighting providing Armed Forces to wartime states from among the most prepared reservists attributed to the corresponding connections, parts and divisions of Armed Forces as a part of which their combat training is performed and fighting application is planned.

The reserve of second priority is completed from among the reservists who are not attributed to fighting connections, parts, divisions of fighting providing Armed Forces and is intended for completion of reserve of the first priority in case of need.

The persons liable for call-up consisting in reserve of the first category on reaching age limit of stay in reserve or are for health reasons deactivated the second category or in inventory.

Article 7. Completing of reserve of the second category

The reserve of the second category is completed from among the persons liable for call-up who underwent military service under the contract or in mobilization draft reserve on positions of privates, sergeants, aged up to forty five years, junior officers - up to fifty years, the senior officers - up to fifty five years, general structure - up to sixty years.

Persons liable for call-up of reserve of the second category are attributed to army connections, parts and divisions of logistic and technical supply and are intended for their completing to wartime states, and in case of emergency situations or military aggression against the Republic of Uzbekistan - for expansion of forming of wartime.

The age limit of stay in reserve of the second category is respectively age limit of stay in reserve.

Completing of parts, divisions of logistic and technical supply of Armed Forces to wartime states, and also forming of wartime by the reservists of the first category who are not attributed to fighting connections, parts and divisions of fighting providing Armed Forces is in case of need allowed.

Article 8. Selection of reservists

Selection of the reservists intended for completing of connections, parts and divisions of Armed Forces to wartime states and also expansions of forming of wartime, is performed by the screening committees created by orders of top military commanders of military districts. The commissions representatives of headquarters of military districts, commands of the completed connections, parts and divisions, bodies for cases of defense, public authorities on places and specialists of the corresponding types of military forces and services are included.

Selection of reservists for addition to connections, parts and divisions of Armed Forces is performed individually, as a rule, by the territorial principle taking into account military specialty, marital status, and also level of military preparation, mental abilities and physical these persons liable for call-up.

In case of shortcoming of the officers of reserve necessary for completing of connections, parts and divisions of Armed Forces to wartime states, and also expansions of forming of wartime, in reserve can be selected the most prepared reserve officers who completed full course of training in the program of training of officers in the relevant educational divisions of military preparation (faculties of military training, training centers of military preparation, military departments, cycles and rates) of the highest educational institutions. After selection in reserve the specified category of persons goes for military charges on retraining of officers of reserve.
