Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on mutual trips of citizens

The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties

for the purpose of further development of friendship between two states and their people,

being guided by desire to arrange the mode of mutual trips of citizens of two states,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Citizens of the state of one Party have the right to drive, leave, stay and follow transit across the territory of the state of other Party without visas based on the documents proving their identity and confirming nationality, listed in Appendix to this agreement.

Article 2

Citizens of the states of the Parties have the right to drive, leave and follow transit to the third states through the international check points with observance of the procedures necessary for crossing of border, according to the valid and drawn-up according to national legal systems of the states of the Parties documents on the right of crossing of border.

Article 3

Citizens of the state of one Party during stay in the territory of the state of other Party shall follow the laws and rules of the state of this Party, including the rule of registration (temporary registration), the stay and movements established for foreign citizens.

Article 4

Each of the Parties has the right to refuse to the citizen of the state of other Party the entry visa or to reduce the term of its stay in the territory of the state, without explaining motives of the decision.

Article 5

The parties during thirty (30) days from signature date of this agreement exchange samples of the documents listed in Appendix to this agreement through diplomatic channels.

The parties inform each other through diplomatic channels on introduction of new documents or changes in documents which are used for the purposes of this agreement, and direct each other their samples not later than thirty (30) days before their introduction in action.

The parties through diplomatic channels will communicate about the current legislation concerning procedure for entrance, departure, stay of foreign citizens and other information in the field.

Article 6

The parties will hold as required consultations for discussion of the questions connected with accomplishment of this agreement.

Any disagreements or matters of argument arising during the course of performance or applications of provisions of this agreement, will be solved by negotiations between the Parties.

Article 7

Changes and additions which are drawn up by the separate protocols which are integral part of this agreement and becoming effective according to the procedure, stipulated in Article the 10th this agreement can be as agreed by the parties made to this agreement.

Article 8

The parties reserve the right in cases of safety hazard of the state, to public order, natural disasters, technogenic catastrophes or health hazard of citizens fully or partially to suspend this agreement.

About suspension of action of this agreement, and also the Party which made such decision, beforehand, but no later than 72 hours from the moment of adoption of such decision, reports about renewal of its action to other Party through diplomatic channels.

Article 9

This agreement does not affect the rights and obligations of the Parties following from other international treaties which participants they are.

Article 10

This agreement is signed sine die and becomes effective from the date of receipt of the last written notice of accomplishment of the interstate procedures by the Parties necessary for its entry into force.

Each of the Parties can terminate this agreement, having informed on it other Party through diplomatic channels in writing. In this case the Agreement terminates on the ninetieth (90) day after receipt of such notification by other Party.

It is made in the city of Tashkent on January 19, 2005 in duplicate, everyone in the Russian and Uzbek languages, at the same time all texts are equally authoritative.

In case of disagreements in case of interpretation of provisions of this agreement of the Party will be guided by the text in Russian.

The list of identity documents and confirming nationality, necessary for this agreement purposes

For citizens of the Republic of Belarus:

passport of the citizen of the Republic of Belarus;

diplomatic passport;

service passport;

the flight certificate of the crew member of the aircraft (in the presence of record in flight task);

the national identity certificate of the seaman (in the presence of the muster roll or the statement from it);

the certificate on return to the Republic of Belarus (only for return to the Republic of Belarus).

For citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

passport of the citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

diplomatic passport;

the certificate of the citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan who did not reach 16-year age;

the certificate of the crew member of the aircraft (in the presence of record in flight task);

the certificate on return to the Republic of Uzbekistan (only for return to the Republic of Uzbekistan).
