Regulations on activities of patent agents in the field of intellectual property

I. General provisions

1. The regulations on activities of patent agents in the field of intellectual property (further - the Provision) regulate the professional activity of patent agents in the field of intellectual property (further - patent agents) performed by them according to the legislation in the field of intellectual property and other regulations, and also provisions of international conventions which party the Republic of Moldova is.

2. Action of this provision extends on:

1) patent agents;

2) applicants on receipt of the certificate of the patent agent;

3) the Certification and disciplinary commission of patent agents in the field of intellectual property of the Agency (further – Certifying commission) created under the State agency on intellectual property (further - AGEPI).

3. In this Provision the used basic concepts mean the following:

certification - assessment procedure of level and quality of professional training in the field of intellectual property by means of which AGEPI officially recognizes competence of the candidate;

the certificate - the authorization issued to AGEPI, confirming legal capacity of person to be effective as the patent agent for all or part of intellectual property items;
