The governments of the State Parties of this agreement which further are referred to as with the Parties

based on the Agreement on carrying out coordinated policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification of March 13, 1992,

considering the metrological base which developed in the territories of the State Parties of the Agreement and specialization of the companies for production, checking, calibration, checking and metrological certification of measuring instruments and standard samples,

understanding need of observance of the approved methodology of ensuring unity of measurements and technology of preparation and exchange of scientific and technical information on standards, standard samples, measuring instruments of the approved types and the existing regulating documents, and also accomplishment of the corresponding international obligations within the International Organization of Legislative Metrology (IOLM) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO),

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Subject of this agreement are the regulating documents applied in system of standardization, metrology and certification, standards, measuring instruments and standard samples, hereinafter referred to as "goods".

Article 2

The goods taken for the purpose of checking, calibration, checking and metrological certification are exempted from payment of customs duties, taxes and issue of special permissions.

Article 3

Lists (nomenclature) of the goods which are subject to transportation are established by national authorities on standardization, metrology and certification.

Article 4

Disputes and disagreements on interpretation or application of this agreement are permitted by carrying out consultation (negotiations) between concerned parties.

Article 5

This agreement is open for accession to it of other State Parties of the Agreement on carrying out coordinated policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification of March 13, 1992 by transfer to depositary - to Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States of documents on such accession.

Article 6

This agreement is signed for unrestricted term.

Each Party has the right to leave this agreement, having notified in writing depositary on the decision at least in 12 months prior to expected exit.

Article 7

By mutual consent of the Parties changes which are drawn up by the relevant protocol which is integral part of this agreement can be made to this agreement.

Article 8

This agreement becomes effective from the date of delivery on storage to depositary of the third notification on accomplishment of the interstate procedures by the states necessary for its entry into force.

It is made in the city of Almaty on February 10, 1995 in one authentic copy in Russian. The authentic copy is stored in Archive of the Government of the Republic of Belarus which will send to each state which signed this agreement, its verified copy.
