The National Archive Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic (daleenatsionalny archive fund) is set of the documents created in the course of the state, economic, social and political, welfare activity at different stages of development of the Kyrgyz Republic. Documents of National Archive Fund are historical and cultural heritage, property of the people, his documentary memory and serve satisfaction of needs of society and state, realization of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens.
The National Archive Fund is created of documents of the Public Records Offices, departmental archives, archives of legal entities of different patterns of ownership, documents of public associations and physical persons.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
archive - the organization or structural division of the organization performing storage, completing, accounting and use of archive documents;
archiving in the Kyrgyz Republic (further - archiving) - activities of state bodies, local government bodies, organizations and citizens in the field of stores organization, completing, accounting and use of documents of National Archive Fund;
the archive document - the material carrier with information fixed on it which has the details allowing to identify it and is subject to storage owing to the importance of information for citizens, society and the state;
