This law establishes the property relations in condominium, procedure for creation, operation, alienation of real estate and assignment of rights on it in condominium, procedure for real estate administration, and also procedure for creation, registration, functioning and liquidation of associations of co-owners in condominium.
For the purpose of this law the following basic concepts are used in value:
condominium - single complex of real estate which includes the parcel of land in the established borders and the residential buildings (building) located on it, other real estate objects and in which separate parts - apartments, non-residential premises are in private, state-owned or municipal property, and the others - in common indivisible property.

the apartment - the housing consisting of one or more premises and meeting the requirements for permanent residence of one person or family;
the owner - the state, body of local public authority, physical person or legal entity or group of persons which own use and dispose of the real estate belonging to them in condominium according to the legislation.
The legislation on condominium belongs to the civil legislation and includes this law, the Civil code, other legal acts regulating civil legal relationship in this area.
(1) Operation of this law extends on:
a) the property relations in condominium;
b) the condominiums which are again created in the course of reconstruction of the apartment house;
c) associations of co-owners in condominium (further - associations of co-owners), housing and housing cooperatives with the share which is completely paid at least by one member, and also other Owners' Associations of the real estate created for ensuring operation of real estate in condominium.
(2) Housing, the housing cooperative which members paid share completely will be reorganized into condominium according to provisions of this law, others legislative and regulations.
