About inauguration of the President of the Republic of Moldova

For the purpose of legislative regulation of the relations connected with inauguration of the President of the Republic of Moldova

The parliament adopts this law.

Art. 1. - (1) the Candidate for president of the Republic of Moldova whose election is recognized as the valid Constitutional court not later than in 45-day time after elections brings before Parliament and the Constitutional court the oath provided by part (2) article 79 of the Constitution.

(2) the Venue of ceremony of inauguration of the President of the Republic of Moldova is determined by the elected President of the Republic of Moldova.

Art. 2. - (1) deputies of Parliament, judges of the Constitutional court, members of Central Election Commission, members of the government, judges of the Highest trial chamber participate In ceremony of inauguration of the President of the Republic of Moldova.

(2) as guests of honor the representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in the Republic of Moldova, representatives of cults, leaders of political parties and other social and political organizations, representatives of national and cultural societies, heads of bodies of local public authority, other famous persons as from the country, and from abroad are invited to ceremony of inauguration.

(3) the live broadcast on public channels of TV and radio broadcasting and through other electronic mass media is conducted With ceremony of inauguration of the President of the Republic of Moldova.

Art. 3. - (1) the Ceremony of inauguration of the President of the Republic of Moldova consists of the following events:

a) joint ceremonial meeting of Parliament and the Constitutional court with participation of persons specified in parts (1) and (2) Articles 2, including:

- opening of meeting by the Chairman of the parliament;

- execution of national anthem;

- announcement by the Chairman of the Constitutional court of the resolution of the Constitutional court on recognition valid election of the president of the Republic of Moldova;

- bringing of the constitutional oath by the elected President of the Republic of Moldova;

- delivery by the Chairman of the Constitutional court to the President of the Republic of Moldova of the Sign of the President of the Republic of Moldova;

- inauguration speech of the President of the Republic of Moldova;

- execution of national anthem;

b) assignment of wreath to monument to Stefan Weliki the President of the Republic of Moldova, the Chairman of the parliament, the Chairman of the Constitutional court and other officials;

c) transfers of power by the President of the Republic of Moldova whose term of office expired, to the elected President of the Republic of Moldova in the official residence of the President of the Republic of Moldova;

d) the formal reception this by the President of the Republic of Moldova.

(2) the Legal procedure of the inaugural actions provided by part (1), it is established according to the scenario developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.

Art. 4. - (1) the Sign of the President of the Republic of Moldova consists of medal chain and medal sign. The medal sign represents sign of the award "Ordinul Republicii" which is imposed on 8-beam silver star with beams of pyramidal form. On each of beams eight tsirkon and above one ruby are rowed. The star is imposed on gilded laurel wreath which, in turn, is imposed on 16-beam star formed by bunches of the gilded beams alternating with silver beams of pyramidal form. Diameter of sign is 120 mm. The medal chain is made of gilded silver and consists of ovate-horizontal links in the middle of which about one double lily is located. These links alternate with links with the State Emblem of the Republic of Moldova on which eagle and his attributes gilded. The central link of chain consists of relief silver wreath from oak leaves on which the crossed gilded mace and sword are imposed. In point of their crossing diamond is located. Length of chain is 850 mm. To the central link of chain the medal sign is suspended.

Art. 5. - The expenses connected with inauguration of the President of the Republic of Moldova are performed at the expense of means of the government budget.

Art. 6. - Declare invalid the Law on inauguration of the Republic of Moldova of N836-XII of December 26, 1991.

Art. 7. - This law becomes effective from the date of publication.
