According to the Plan of multi-level interforeign Ministry consultations within the CIS for 2010 approved by the Decision of Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of March 26, 2010 the following consultations took place:
1. About the Agreement on the European safety (г.Москва, on March 17).
Representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and Ukraine participated in consultations. Representatives of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Republic of Moldova participated in quality of observers.
On consultations the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation heads of operating units of the MFA represented, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic and Ukrainusotrudniki of embassies.
Participants of consultations:
exchanged opinions concerning initiative of the President of the Russian Federation D. A. Medvedev on the conclusion of the Agreement on the European safety;
declared intention of the states to take active part on individual and collective basis in promotion of the Russian initiative;
confirmed relevance of convocation of meeting of heads of the international organizations operating in the field of safety (the European Union, NATO, OSCE, the CSTO, the CIS), perhaps, within informal meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the State Parties of OSCE in Almaty in 2010 for comparison of line items about ways of forming of general indivisible space of safety.
2. Interaction of the State Parties of the CIS within cooperation with the international financial and economic organizations (group of the World Bank, the IMF, BBRR) (Minsk, on July 27).
Representatives of the Azerbaijan Republic (as the observer), the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova (as the observer), the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine took part in consultations.
The Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation were provided at the level of heads of operating units of the MFA, the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine - at the level of permanent representatives under authorized and other bodies of the Commonwealth, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic Tadzhikistanpredstavitelyami of embassies.
During consultations representatives of the states noted need of search of solutions of the problems complicating process of cooperation increase with the Bretton Woods institutes and expansions of experience exchange between the Commonwealth countries on preparation and projects implementation of the technical and advisory assistance with the World Bank and the IMF. Special attention is paid the need of coordination of line items on reforming of the indicated organizations.
Participants of consultations agreed:
continue interaction within the international financial and economic organizations on regular basis and carrying out the corresponding multilateral consultations;
consider the possibility of carrying out the working meetings managing from the CIS countries within the annual meetings of boards of governors of the Bretton Woods organizations and the EBRD;
promote acceptance of agreed decisions on different questions of activities of the international financial and economic organizations, at the same time especially paying attention to development of common position of the CIS countries on such important issues as reforming and allocation to the countries of financial resources to the development purposes;
uphold the approved line items of the State Parties of the CIS in case of cooperation with the international financial and economic organizations.
3. About interaction of the State Parties of the CIS concerning the agenda of the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly (г.Москва, on August 3).
Representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan, and also the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine as observers participated in consultations.
The Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation were provided at the level of heads of the relevant divisions of the MFA. The Republic of Tajikistan was represented by the employee of embassy.
Participants of consultations:
exchanged opinions according to the main items on the agenda of the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly;
paid the main attention to further building-up of efforts on consolidation of multilateralism in worldwide policy, to every possible increase in role of the UN in it, to process of reforming of the Organization;
emphasized general interest in strengthening of the capacity of the UN directed to peacekeeping and the international security, counteraction to new challenges and threats, consolidation of non-proliferation regime of weapons of mass destruction, including prevention of hit to OHM in hands of terrorists.
