About interaction of the State Parties of the CIS within OSCE
Council of heads of states of the Commonwealth of Independent States solved:
1. Highly appreciate results of presidency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, including holding the historical summit of OSCE and adoption of the Astana anniversary Declaration "On the Way to Community of Safety", aimed at increase in efficiency of the Organization. Note that the important role in ensuring success of presidency was played by collective support from the State Parties of the CIS.
2. Support the initiative of the Republic of Kazakhstan about use of the platform of OSCE for discussion of ways of overcoming world financial and economic crisis and strengthening of general safety on space of OSCE and the CIS through promotion of Eurasian integration, considering it in the context of harmonization and ensuring complementarity of processes of regional cooperation and integration, activities of the relevant structures. Emphasize readiness of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States to take active part in this work.
3. In respect of implementation of the Concept of further development of the Commonwealth of Independent States to conduct work on approval of line items and implementation of interaction of the State Parties of the CIS within OSCE on questions, of common interest.
4. Welcome election of Ukraine presiding in OSCE in 2013 and express support from all State Parties of the CIS of active role of the Ukrainian presidency in OSCE.
