About the state awards of the Republic of Moldova

(as amended on 21-09-2017)

 Chapter I. Basic provisions

Article 1. The state awards of the Republic of Moldova (further - the state awards) are awards, crosses, including anniversary and memorable, medals, including anniversary and memorable, and honorary titles which physical persons and legal entities in acknowledgement of and appreciation of their merits in peace time or during military operations receive.

Article 2. The state awards are established according to the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova Parliament.

Anniversary and memorable crosses, and also anniversary and commemorative medals are established by the ordinary laws.

Article 3. Citizens of the Republic of Moldova, the company, organization, organization, on-stage performance groups and military units receive the state awards.

The state awards foreign citizens and stateless persons, the companies, organizations, the organizations and on-stage performance groups of foreign states can be also awarded.

Article 4. The type of the state award is determined depending on merits of the physical persons and legal entities which are subject to rewarding.

Rewarding of physical persons with awards, crosses and medals can be made also posthumously.

Article 5. Secondary rewarding of the citizen with the same state award is not allowed.

Receive the subsequent state awards for other merits and not earlier than five years after the previous rewarding, excepting awards, crosses and medals with which are awarded for heroism, courage and courage.

Article 6. Rewarding with the state awards is performed by presidential decrees of the Republic of Moldova which are published.

Article 7. The president of the Republic of Moldova - the highest official in the Republic of Moldova - is awarded with Presidium of Parliament.

Article 12. Honorary titles of the Republic of Moldova on priority degree:

a) for physical persons:

"Artist al Poporului"

b) for art collectives:

"Colectiv Artistic Emerit".

Chapter III. Statutes of awards, crosses, medals and honorary titles of "Ordinul Republicii" ("Republic Award")

Article 13. "Ordinul Republicii" is the highest state award; are awarded with it for special merits in all spheres of activity for the benefit of the Homeland and mankind.

Article 14. "Ordinul Republicii" is made of silver and represents slightly convex eight-pointed gilded star formed by bunches of the dispersing beams. Between the main beams convex thin beams from silver are located. In the center of award - the circle with the acting gilded rim, is in it the gilded relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Moldova. Background of board of the coat of arms - from enamel of red and blue colors. Diameter of award - 45 mm.

The award fastens by means of ring with a diameter of 10 mm to medal chain from gilded German silver 800 mm long. The chain consists of six coats of arms of the Republic of Moldova 18 mm high and 14 mm wide, eight eight-pointed stars with a diameter of 15 mm and sixteen laurel branches 16 mm long and 8 mm wide. Coats of arms, stars and laurel branches relief. They alternate and fasten among themselves rings. The chain is clasped on fastener carbine.

Award "Stefan cel Mare" (Shtefan chel Mare)

Article 15. The award "Stefan cel Mare" is the highest military award of the Republic of Moldova.

Article 16. "Stefan cel Mare" are awarded the order:

for heroic act and skillful management of fighting;

for the special courage shown during the providing public law and order, protection of human rights and freedoms;

for the courage and dedication shown in case of safety of the state, accomplishment of special tasks;

for other, especially important merits in protection of freedom and independence of the Republic of Moldova.

Article 17. The award "Stefan cel Mare" is made of silver and represents slightly convex eight-pointed gilded octahedral star formed by bunches of the dispersing beams. Between the main beams convex beams from silver on which ends cubic zirconias are strengthened are located. Beams leave from under silver circle with the acting rim. In the center of circle - the relief pogrudny image of Shtefan chel Mare. The background of circle is covered with white enamel. On edge of circle there is convex gilded text of "Stefan cel Mare". The portrait relief is oxidized. Diameter of award between the ends of beams - 45 mm.

The award has cut pin with nut for fixture to clothes on the back.

Article 17.1. "Bogdan Intemeietorul" are awarded the order:

for outstanding merits in development and strengthening of statehood of the Republic of Moldova;

for the significant contribution to case of national revival, consolidation of the civil world, achievement of unification and consent in society, harmonization of the international relations;

for especially fruitful activities for increase in the international authority of the country.
