About additional measures for enhancement of passport system in the Republic of Uzbekistan
According to the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of June 23, 2009 No. UP-4117 "About Measures for Further Enhancement of Passport System in the Republic of Uzbekistan" and for the purpose of further enhancement of procedure for registration, issue and exchange of the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and also travel documents for stateless persons taking into account modern international standards and requirements:
1. Approve:
Regulations on the biometric passport of the citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan according to appendix No. 1;
Regulations on the biometric travel document of the stateless person of the Republic of Uzbekistan according to appendix No. 2.
2. Take into consideration that the Regulations on passport system in the Republic of Uzbekistan approved by the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of February 26, 1999 No. UP-2240, the valid passport of the citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the identity certificate of the stateless person are valid till December 31, 2015.
3. National broadcasting company of Uzbekistan (A. Hadzhayev), to National news agency of Uzbekistan (M. Hazratkulov) to realize in mass media (the press, television, broadcasting) publications and subject programs on extended coverage among citizens of basic provisions of this Decree.
4. To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (E.Ganiyev) in accordance with the established procedure to inform the governments of foreign countries, International Civil Aviation Organization and the International standardization organization on the events for enhancement of national passport system held in Uzbekistan.
