About the minimum monthly salary

Article 1. Establish in the Republic of Armenia the minimum monthly salary in the amount of 75 000 dram.

Article 2. For the workers rewarded on piece-work or hourly pay to establish the minimum size of the hourly tariff charge:

1) with the normal duration of working hours: 40-hour business week – 450 dram;

2) with the reduced duration of working hours:

. 36-hour business week – 500 dram.

Article 2.1. The minimum hourly tariff charge of workers of health care, guardianship (guardianship), child educational, power supply, gas supply, heat supply, communication and other industries having special kind of work is determined, having divided the minimum monthly wage, the stipulated in Clause 1 this Law, into the normal duration of the working hours in month established for these workers by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.

Article 3. In sense of codes (except for the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia), the laws of the Republic of Armenia, presidential decrees of the Republic of Armenia, the orders of the Government and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, acts of the ministries and departments, local government bodies, separate legal entities the minimum monthly salary established by this Law cannot be accepted as settlement basis.

As settlement basis in the specified acts the operating 1000 dram are established.

Article 4. The minimum monthly salary, the minimum sizes of the hourly tariff charge established for the workers rewarded on piece-work or hourly pay do not join the taxes paid from the salary, the social or established by the law other obligatory payments, allowances, costs plus, awards and surcharges.

Article 5. From the moment of the introduction of this Law in force to consider invalid the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About the minimum monthly salary" of October 27, 1998 No. ZR-257.

Article 6. This Law becomes effective since January 1, 2004.
