1. Approve Quality requirements of table olives it (is applied).
2. Ceased to be valid according to the Order of the Government of the Republic of Moldova of 16.04.2025 No. 199
3. This Resolution becomes effective within 3 months after publication in the Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova.
4. To impose control over the implementation of this Resolution on the National agency on safety of foodstuff.

1. Quality requirements of table olives (further – Requirements) establish the minimum regulations applied to quality of fruits of olive tree (Olea europaea L.), undergone the corresponding processing or conversion and offered for direct consumption as table olives (further – products), including within services of catering, or the olives packed into container for the loose products intended for repeated packaging. Are not applied to product in case it is specified as intended for further conversion.
2. These Requirements are not applied to the products which underwent to transformation in individual farms for own consumption either being transit products or temporarily stored as transit products.
3. Groups of goods of the following goods items fall under action of these Requirements: 0709 92 100, 0709 92 900, 0710 80 100, 0711 20 100, 0711 20 900, 2001 90 650, 2004 90 300, 2005 70 000, according to the Combined commodity nomenclature approved by the Law No. 172/2014.
4. "Table olives" is product:
a) prepared from healthy fruits of cultivars of olives (Olea europaea L.), the olives which reached the extent of development suitable for conversion, and selected for production, the size, form, ratio of pulp and stone which thin pulp, taste, elasticity and ease of department from stone do them suitable for conversion;
b) processed for removal of bitterness and preserved by natural fermentation and/or heat treatment and/or other methods for prevention of spoil and ensuring stability of product under the corresponding storage conditions, with addition or without addition of preservatives;
c) packed with use or without use of the preserving liquid circle.
5. Introduction on the market of the products falling under action of these Requirements is performed according to the Law No. 306/2018 on safety of foodstuff and the Law No. 296/2017 on general requirements of hygiene of foodstuff.
6. Ceased to be valid according to the Order of the Government of the Republic of Moldova of 16.04.2025 No. 199
7. Depending on ripeness degree table olives classify according to appendix No. 1.
8. Brine in which olives are preserved and the used ingredients shall conform to the requirements provided in appendix No. 2 to this Requirement.
9. Products shall conform to the organoleptic quality requirements provided in appendix No. 3 to this Requirement.
10. The name of each product shall specify correctly the nature of product and for this purpose include, at least, the following information:
1) the name of range of product according to the characteristics given in appendix No. 4 to this Requirement;
1-1) names of product – "olives" or "table olives";
2) the name of form in which olives are provided: "integral", "without stones", "cut", etc., according to the characteristics given in appendix No. 5 to this Requirement, except as specified, when olives are packed into transparent packages;
3) raw materials type according to the characteristics given in appendix No. 1 to this Requirement;
4) the name of all ingredients giving to product characteristics according to the characteristics given in appendix No. 2 to this Requirement, for example, "with addition...", or "with"... the olives stuffed..." (one ingredient or combination of ingredients) or "the olives stuffed... paste" (one ingredient or combination of ingredients);
5) caliber of olives "integral", "without stones", "stuffed" and "halves" according to the characteristics provided in Chapter II of appendix No. 5 to this Requirement;
6) name of type of olives (facultatively);
7) commercial category (facultatively).
11. Products are labeled according to provisions of the Law No. 279/2017 on informing consumers concerning foodstuff, having specified in addition on labels net weight without liquid and storage temperature, and also product expiration date after packaging opening.
12. Products shall be packed and be transported in the packagings keeping quality and safety of product.
