About the Protocol on cooperation between Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization

Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States, having discussed the draft of the Protocol on cooperation between Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, solved:

charge to the Chairman of Executive committee - to the Executive secretary of the CIS to sign this document as the Memorandum of cooperation between Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization it (is applied).

The memorandum of cooperation between Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization

Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (further - Executive committee of the CIS) and the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (further - the Secretariat of the CSTO),

being guided by the purposes and tasks following from fundamental documents of the Commonwealth of Independent States (further - the CIS) and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (further - the CSTO), and also the international treaties signed within the CIS and the CSTO

attaching importance to interaction of Executive committee of the CIS and the Secretariat of the CSTO, came to the following mutual understanding:

1. The executive committee of the CIS and the Secretariat of the CSTO within the competence will perform cooperation in the directions which are of mutual interest.

2. For realization of the directions of cooperation the Executive committee of the CIS and the Secretariat of the CSTO will be:

a) hold joint consultations for the solution of the questions relating to the corresponding directions of interaction;

b) prepare the approved offers and recommendations and if necessary to submit for consideration of bodies of the CIS and the CSTO;

c) communicate, the work plans, schedules of holding actions, reference, information and analytical and other materials and documents which are of mutual interest;

d) according to rules and procedures adopted for Executive committee of the CIS and the Secretariat of the CSTO to organize presence of the representatives on the actions which are of mutual interest;

e) promote cooperation of bodies of the CIS and the CSTO;

e) interact when forming the legal base;

g) develop the approved line items in relations with executive (workers) bodies of other international organizations;

h) interact in lighting in mass media of the events held within the CIS and the CSTO.

3. The chairman of Executive committee - the Executive secretary of the CIS and the Secretary general of the CSTO will appoint responsible persons for interaction within this Memorandum.

4. During implementation of this Memorandum the Executive committee of the CIS and the Secretariat of the CSTO will abstain from the distribution of information and materials prepared in the course of joint activities without preliminary consultations and mutual consent.
