The same actions made with use of seal or other mass media, or connected to accusation in making of serious crime are punished by imprisonment for a period of up to six years.

2. The penalty at the rate to twenty five thousand rubles is imposed on the mass media which spread the materials offending the President of the Azerbaijani SSR or containing slander in its address by a court decision.

Activities of the mass media which repeatedly spread the materials offending the President of the Azerbaijani SSR or containing slander concerning it can be stopped by a court decision.

3. The public statements containing critical statements about activities of the Head of the Azerbaijani Soviet Socialist Republic - the President of the Azerbaijani SSR, and also about the policy pursued under its management, do not fall under operation of this Law.
