Agreement between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova on cooperation

of April 6, 2004

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, further - Contracting Parties,

wishing to deepen and develop the benevolent relations between the states,

remaining convinced concerning importance of role of judicial authorities of life of society,

noting that knowledge sharing and experience in the legal sphere, in the field of the legislation, the organization and functioning of degrees of jurisdiction is equitable to interests of both Contracting Parties,

in view of the international obligations, the national legal system and powers of both Contracting Parties, agreed about the following:

Article 1

Contracting parties will perform cooperation and to promote experience exchange in the following directions:

legal information;

organization of work of central offices of the Ministries of Justice, judicial authorities;

advanced training of workers of justice;

rule-making activities;

development of concepts of development and enhancement of the legislation;

in other directions if they answer the purposes and tasks of Contracting Parties.

Article 2

For the purpose of realization of the intentions of cooperation stated in this agreement, Contracting Parties will develop the periodic and permanent programs of cooperation aimed at providing different forms of scientific and managerial dialogue in the field of justice.

Article 3

In case of need, for the purpose of the solution of questions of cooperation, preparation of programs of cooperation and summing up accomplishment of programs, Contracting Parties will create expert and working groups.

Article 4

Contracting parties will create conditions for direct connections and experience exchange between judicial authorities of both countries.

Article 5

Contracting parties will help the organization of consultations, seminars, scientific conferences on the questions which are of interest to both countries.

Article 6

Contracting parties will promote exchange of specialists and delegations for studying of the questions which are of interest to both countries.

Article 7

When implementing cooperation Contracting Parties will use Russian.

Article 8

Contracting parties on the principles of the mutual arrangement and according to the national legal system incur the expenses connected with implementation of this agreement.

In case of visits of delegations financing is performed thus:

expenses on the organization, stay and movement for the territory are born by the accepting Contracting Party;

transportation expenses on journey to the venue and are back born by the directing Contracting Party.

Article 9

This agreement is signed sine die and becomes effective from the moment of obtaining through diplomatic channels of the last of notifications which Contracting Parties inform each other on accomplishment of the corresponding interstate procedures by them, necessary for the introduction of this agreement in force.

Each of Contracting Parties can declare the termination of this agreement, having in writing notified on it other Contracting Party. In this case the Agreement stops the action after six months from the date of such notification.

It is made to Chisinau on April 6, 2004 in two authentic copies, everyone in the Russian and Moldavian languages, and both texts are equally authentic.
