1. Approve:

The regulations on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (are applied);

The regulations on International business department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (are applied).

1-1. Establish the list of the organizations subordinated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus according to appendix.

2. Establish the number of board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus of 15 people.

3. Recognize invalid:

the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of November 30, 2001 No. 1730 "About approval of the Regulations on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus" (The national register of legal acts of the Republic of Belarus, 2001, No. 116, 5/9516);

the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of September 4, 2003 No. 1156 "About entering of amendment into the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of November 30, 2001 No. 1730" (The national register of legal acts of the Republic of Belarus, 2003, No. 103, 5/13005).

4. This resolution becomes effective since August 1, 2006.

Regulations on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus

1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (further - the MFA) is republican state body and submits to the Government of the Republic of Belarus. On the single questions of activities provided by legal acts, the MFA can submit only to the President of the Republic of Belarus.

2. The MFA pursues state policy in the sphere of external relations, performs coordination of foreign policy and foreign economic activity of the Republic of Belarus.

3. The MFA in the activities is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, other acts of the legislation, including this Provision.

4. The MFA the MFA, diplomatic representations and consular establishments of the Republic of Belarus (further – foreign institutions of the Republic of Belarus), and also the organizations, subordinates the MFA are a part of the system central office.

5. The main objectives the MFA are:

5.1. realization of single foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus, including coordination of policy in the sphere of the foreign economic and foreign trade activity;

5.2. providing the rights and interests of the Republic of Belarus in the international relations;

5.3. representation of the Republic of Belarus in the relations with foreign states, the international organizations and interstate educations; forming, maintenance and strengthening of positive image of the Republic of Belarus abroad;

5.4. coordination of activities of republican state bodies for providing single policy of the Republic of Belarus in the relations with foreign states, the international organizations and interstate educations;

5.5. protection of the rights and interests of citizens of the Republic of Belarus and legal entities of the Republic of Belarus abroad;

5.6. creating favorable conditions for promotion of economic interests of the Republic of Belarus abroad;

5.7. planning of foreign policy and foreign economic activity;

5.8. collection and information analysis about factors and tendencies of the international development and introduction to the President of the Republic of Belarus, in the Government of the Republic of Belarus, National assembly of the Republic of Belarus of offers and recommendations about tactical reaction and strategic directions of foreign policy and external economic cooperation for the benefit of the Republic of Belarus;
