About approval of the Regulations on the Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic

For the purpose of ensuring activities of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic I decide:

1. Approve Regulations on the Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic (it is applied - Appendix 1).

8. Charge to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic:

8.1. in a month to determine numerical limit of employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic and the public services and the state agency created in case of it;

8.2. in two-month time to prepare and provide to the President of the Azerbaijan Republic offers on reduction of regulatory legal acts to compliance with this Decree;

8.3. provide transfer to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic of the relevant documents of State Commission of the Azerbaijan Republic on agrarian reform, documents and the property of the Agency on assistance to private sector development in agricultural industry liquidated by this Decree;

8.4. resolve other issues following from this Decree.

9. To the Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic – to resolve the issues following from this Decree within the powers.

10. This Decree becomes effective from the date of publication.

Regulations on the Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic

I. General provisions

1. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic (further – the Ministry) is reorganized based on the Order of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic of October 23, 2004 No. 467 "About enhancement of management in the agrarian sector".

2. The ministry is the executive body developing and realizing state policy, performing normative and legal and economic regulation in the agrarian sector including production and conversion of agricultural products, rendering necessary services to the producers, rational use of lands rendering services in the field of phytosanitation and veterinary science.

II. Main objectives of the Ministry

10. The main objectives of the Ministry are:

10.3. determine the main directions of development of the industries entering the agrarian sector and take measures for their implementation;

10.4. perform normative legal regulation, including regulation of the economic relations in the agrarian sector, including production and conversion of agricultural products, rendering necessary services to producers, rational use of lands;

10.4-1. render services in the field of phytosanitation and veterinary science;

10.5. prepare the programs aimed at the development of the agrarian sector and provide their implementation, prepare the concept of social and economic development of the agrarian sector;

10.7. perform international cooperation in the agrarian sector;
