About some questions of regulation of activities of mass media

1. Approve enclosed:

Regulations on procedure for opening of correspondent offices by legal entities to which functions of editorial office of mass media are assigned;

Regulations on procedure for opening in the Republic of Belarus of offices of foreign mass media;

Regulations on procedure for accreditation in the Republic of Belarus journalists of foreign mass media.

2. Make changes and additions to the following resolutions of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus:

2.1. in Regulations on the Ministry of information of the Republic of Belarus approved by the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of October 26, 2001 No. 1545 (The national register of legal acts of the Republic of Belarus, 2001, No. 103, 5/9271; 2003, No. 28, 5/12075; 2004, No. 144, 5/14821; 2006, No. 125, 5/22671; 2008, No. 121, 5/27661):

in Item 3:

state paragraph two in the following edition:

"regulation, management and coordination of activities of other republican state bodies in the field of mass information;";

the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of September 22, 1997 No. 1259 "About approval of the Instruction about procedure for opening and activities of representative offices of foreign mass media in the territory of the Republic of Belarus" (Collection of decrees, presidential decrees and orders of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, 1997, No. 26-27, of the Art. 889);

subitem 1.2 of Item 1 of the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of February 3, 2006 No. 141 "About modification and amendments in some orders of the Government of the Republic of Belarus concerning stay and activities in the territory of the republic of foreign citizens and stateless persons" (The national register of legal acts of the Republic of Belarus, 2006, No. 24, 5/17228);

4. This resolution becomes effective since February 8, 2009.

Regulations on procedure for opening of correspondent offices by legal entities to which functions of editorial office of mass media are assigned

1. The correspondent office is separate division of the legal entity to which functions of editorial office of mass media are assigned (further - the legal entity), performing collection, storage and creation (preparation) of information messages and (or) materials for these mass media, and also distribution of its products.

3. Opening of correspondent offices is performed according to the decision of the legal entity for the purpose of ensuring the most operational collection and processing of regional information for release of mass media.
