This Law determines the principles of the state policy directed to establishment of the legal basis of the market of tourism in the Azerbaijan Republic bases of tourist activities and governs the relations arising in the field of tourism, determines procedure for effective use of reserves of tourism as one of the means providing social and economic development.
The concepts used in this Law express the following value:
tourism - temporary departure (travel) of citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic, foreigners and stateless persons from the permanent residence for the purpose of rest, improvement, acquaintance, in the cognitive purposes (enrichments by historical and cultural values, etc.), in business professional (except for execution of job responsibilities), in the sports and religious purposes provided that in the country (place) of temporary stay they will not be engaged in paid activities;
the tourist - person, temporarily, for the period from 24 o'clock and up to 12 months, being for the purpose of rest, improvement, acquaintance, in the cognitive purposes (enrichments by historical and cultural values, etc.), business professional (except for execution of job responsibilities), in the sports and religious purposes in the country (place) where it left provided that will not be engaged in paid activities;
tour - sale form in the form of vouchers of products of the tourism consisting of individual and party travels for specific term and along specific route;
