About amnesty of women and minors
Accepted by Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on June 26, 2008
Showing respect for the commonly accepted human rights and freedoms, proceeding from the principles of humanity and mercy, and also in connection with the 60th anniversary of adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations:
Exempt from criminal liability and custodial sanction:
a) widows whose husbands died in case of protection of interests of the USSR and the Kyrgyz Republic, and also in liquidation of the Chernobyl accident;
b) 55 years are more senior than women;
c) the women who are the single supporter in family or having at least two minor children or handicapped children of I and II groups;
d) women and minor disabled people of I and II groups;
e) minors, for the first time convicts for a period of up to 7 years;
e) women and minors which unexpired part of punishment on the date of the introduction of this Law in force constitutes less than one year;
g) expectant mothers.
Exempt from criminal liability and custodial sanction of the women and minors who committed crimes of small weight and less serious crimes.
Exempt from criminal liability women and minors for the crimes provided by parts 1 and 2 of Article 336 (Escape from the place of detention or from custody), Article 337 (Evasion from serving sentence in the form of imprisonment) the Criminal code of the Kyrgyz Republic if they within three months from the date of publication of this Law voluntarily were to places of serving sentence or the place of detention.
