Article 2. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

volnoprinositelsky activities - the precious metals and gemstones found, extracted and which are voluntarily handed over to the state;

jewelry - the products containing precious metals and gemstones the having state brand and test intended for private use of citizens;

investigation - exploration works - the works performed from search of fields of precious metals and gemstones before calculation and approval of their inventories;

the treasure of precious metals and gemstones - the precious metals buried in the earth or hidden by different way, gemstones or products from them which owner by law lost on them the right or cannot be established;

sorting and primary classification of gemstones the completing part of process of enrichment allowing based on the approved collections of standard samples and qualifiers to emit gemstones from the extracted mineral raw materials, and also to divide them into the separate grades meeting the standards accepted in the world market;

primary assessment of gemstones - the completing part of engineering procedure of enrichment providing assessment of gemstones based on the price lists applied to assessment of similar grades of mineral raw materials in the world market;

production of precious metals - extraction of precious metals from the extracted ores, complex ores, concentrates and other semi-products, and also the scrap and waste containing precious metals;
