About fire safety

This Law determines general legal, economic, social and organizational basis of ensuring fire safety in the Republic of Tajikistan, governs in this area the relations between public authorities, local government bodies, the organizations, other legal entities, irrespective of their forms of business, and also between public associations, officials, citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, foreign citizens and stateless persons.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

- fire safety - ensuring security of people, their property, public and state-owned property from the fires;

- the fire - the uncontrollable burning doing harm to life and health of citizens, material damage to society and the state;

- requirements of fire safety - the special specifications established by the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, other regulatory legal acts and regulations and fire safety regulations developed for the purpose of ensuring fire safety with authorized state body;

- non-compliance with requirements of fire safety - failure to carry out or inadequate fulfillment of requirements of regulations and standards, rules, the instructions for ensuring fire safety established according to the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan;

- system of ensuring fire safety - set of forces and means, and also the legal, organizational, economic, social and scientific and technical measures directed to fire-fighting;

- fire service (fire protection) - set of the governing bodies created in accordance with the established procedure, forces and means, including the fire-proof forming intended for the organization of the prevention of the fires and their suppression, carrying out first-priority wrecking;

- the state supervision of fire safety - special type of the state supervising activities performed by officials of governing bodies and divisions of the public fire service for the purpose of control over observance of requirements of fire safety and non-admission of their non-compliance;

- fire-proof promotion - purposeful informing society on problems and ways of ensuring fire safety through mass media and social networks by means of the edition and distribution of special literature and advertizing products, the device thematic. exhibitions, reviews and conferences and public actions;
