Rules of import (import) of the food products which are subject to state registration

1. General provisions

1. Rules of import (import) of the food products which are subject to state registration (further - Rules), are developed according to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of safety of food products, veterinary science and sanitary and epidemiologic wellbeing of the population.

2. Requirements of these rules extend to all subjects performing import (import) to the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the food products which are subject to state registration.

3. Import (import) of the food products which are subject to state registration to the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan is allowed only after their state registration, except as specified import (import) of the samples necessary for carrying out registration testing.

4. The authorized body in the field of veterinary science exercises control on border and transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan for for the first time the imported (imported) on territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan sterns and feed additives.

5. 6. In these rules the following terms and determinations are used:

2) authorized bodies in the field of safety of food products (further - authorized bodies) - the state bodies in the field of veterinary science and sanitary and epidemiologic wellbeing of the population enabling within the competence the realization of state policy and control in the field of safety of food products.

3) the registration certificate on products of baby food, nutritional supplements, dietary supplements to food, genetically modified objects, materials and products contacting to water and food, the chemicals, separate types of products and substances making harmful effects on health of the person or availability of registration in the State registers of the substances and products allowed for use in the Republic of Kazakhstan (the daleeregistratsionny certificate).

9. The subject submits the application for issue of the import permit (import) of forages and feed additives to territorial subdivision of authorized body in the field of veterinary science at the destination of import (import), with indication of:

1) names and characteristics of food products;

5) route;

6) Item of crossing of Frontier of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

The import permit (import) is drawn up on the form of the established sample and goes to division which issues to the subject purposely. The copy of the import permit (import) is stored in archive of authorized body in the field of veterinary science and its divisions.

12. Effective period of the import permit (import) of forages and feed additives, subject to veterinary health control, constitutes no more than 60 calendar days.

13. At check points through Frontier of the Republic of Kazakhstan the officials of authorized bodies exercising the state control on border and transport (further - officials), within the competence carry out examination of food products, verification of its shipping documents and import permits (import) of forages and feed additives or the registration certificate and the document certifying safety of food products, issued by the exporting country.

14. If food products, import (import) of which are performed on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, does not conform to requirements, the established Law, officials, within the competence, make the decision on temporary suspension of import (import) of food products and the direction it for laboratory examination or establish prohibition on its import (import) on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the procedure, established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
