Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. The main terms used in this Law and their determinations

For the purposes of this Law the following main terms and their determinations are used:

type of social services – set (group) of the homogeneous social services combined on target and functional signs;

public institution of social servicing – the organization created according to the decision of local executive and administrative organ or republican state body which core activity is rendering social services;

the state social order – the mechanism of involvement of the organizations and individual entrepreneurs to rendering social services and (or) implementation of social projects;

object of social servicing – capital structure (the building, construction) or its part (parts), the isolated room intended for rendering social services;

the receiver of social services – the citizen of the Republic of Belarus, the foreign citizen, the person without citizenship living (staying) in the Republic of Belarus to whom social services are rendered (further, unless otherwise specified, – the citizen);

the supplier of social services – the organization, physical person rendering social services;

social service – the action for rendering the help to the citizen for the purpose of assistance in the prevention, overcoming difficult life situation and (or) adaptation to it which is not connected with rendering financial support;

social servicing – activities for the organization and rendering social services;

the social project – the purposeful, limited to certain temporary period activities including complex of organizational and technical actions for the prevention of difficult life situation or according to the solution of the social problems and requirements satisfaction of certain group of citizens which are in difficult life situation;
