About the Russian Academy of Sciences

provisions of the charter approved by this resolution regarding opening of the Russian Academy of Sciences and to the organizations of accounts subordinated to it in credit institutions become effective since January 1, 2010;

the annual statement of the Russian Academy of Sciences is constituted no later than May 1 and affirms presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences no later than May 30;

annual accounting reports and consolidated financial statements of the Russian Academy of Sciences are subject to obligatory check by auditing organization starting with the report for 2010. The auditing organization is appointed by presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences in coordination with the federal executive body performing functions on management of federal property. Audit inspection is performed at the expense of the funds allocated for these purposes from the federal budget.

3. To the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation together with the Russian Academy of Sciences and the interested federal executive bodies in the I quarter 2008 to prepare and provide to the Government of the Russian Federation offers on introduction of amendments to the Federal law "About Science and the State Scientific and Technical Policy" and to other regulatory legal acts concerning activities of the state academies of Sciences.

Charter of the Russian Academy of Sciences

I. General provisions

1. The Russian Academy of Sciences is founded according to the order of the emperor Peter I Ukazom of the Ruling senate of January 28 (on February 8), 1724.
