About establishment of the water protection zone and coastal strip of the Syr Darya River in the Andijan, Namangan, Syr Darya, Tashkent and Fergana regions

According to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About the protected natural territories" and in pursuance of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of October 20, 1999 No. 469 "About the Action program on environmental protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 1999-2005", for the purpose of strengthening of protection of water resources of the Syr Darya River from pollution in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan the Cabinet of Ministers decides:

1. Establish total area of lands of the water protection zone and coastal strip of the Syr Darya River in the territories of the Andijan, Namangan, Syr Darya, Tashkent and Fergana regions according to the 32nd 246,3 of the hectare and 7 842,1 hectares on areas assigned to land owners, land users and lessees according to appendix No. 1.

2. To khokimiyats of the Andijan, Namangan, Syr Darya, Tashkent and Fergana regions together with the State committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on conservation and the Ministry of water economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

to carry out inventory count of ecologically potentially dangerous objects which are in water protection to zone to three-months time;

develop and realize scheduled plans on carrying out till 2012 from the water protection zone of ecologically potentially dangerous objects, and from coastal strip - all objects (except water management) according to appendices No. No. 2 and 3;

together with the State committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on land resources, geodesy, cartography and the state inventory to consider the possibility of allocation of lands of the water protection zone for creation of lesoplantation;

in accordance with the established procedure to allocate the new parcels of land beyond limits by water protection of zone of the Syr Darya River for the organization of new cemeteries;

provide use of lands of the water protection zone and coastal strip of the Syr Darya River according to requirements of the Regulations on the water protection zones of water storage basins and other reservoirs, the rivers, the main channels, collectors, and also sources of drinking and household water supply of the medical and cultural and improving appointment in the Republic of Uzbekistan approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of April 7, 1992 No. 174.

Prohibit new burials at the cemeteries located in water protection to the Syr Darya River zone.

3. To impose control over the implementation of this resolution on Information analysis department concerning agricultural and water economy, conversion of agricultural products and consumer goods of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
