1. In these rules the following basic concepts are used:
Production Sharing Agreement - The production sharing agreement concerning the Uzbek part of the Aral Sea between the Republic of Uzbekistan and consortium of investors as a part of NHK "Uzbekneftegaz", Korea National Oil Corporation, the companies "Lukoil Oversiz Holding Ltd." (Russia), "Petronas Charigali Oversiz Sdn. Bkhd." (Malaysia) and "Si-En-Pi-Si International Ltd." (People's Republic of China) of August 30, 2006, including appendices, and also changes and amendments to it;
The investor - means jointly NHK "Uzbekneftegaz", "Lukoil Oversiz Holding Ltd." and "Si-En-Pi-Si International Ltd." companies, including their legal successors and admissible cessionaries;
The Participating company - depending on context means NHK "Uzbekneftegaz", "Lukoil Oversiz Holding Ltd." and "Si-En-Pi-Si International Ltd." companies and/or their corresponding legal successors and admissible cessionaries;
The operator - the legal entity founded at the request of the Investor and registered in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan under name: JV Aral Sea Si Opereyting Company LLC created for the organization of accomplishment of the oil and gas transactions provided by the Production Sharing Agreement. The operator uses the customs privileges and preferences provided according to the Production Sharing Agreement;
Authorized body - the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
