About approval of National strategy for increase in transparency and fight against corruption

For the purpose of continuation of measures in the field of fight against corruption, enhancement of regulatory framework and institutional mechanisms, increases in transparency in activities of state bodies and local government bodies and implementation of state policy in the field I decide:

1. Approve National strategy for increase in transparency and fight against corruption and the Plan of activities for 2007 - 2011 connected with its implementation it (is applied).

2. Central and to local executive bodies:

2.1. be guided in the activities by provisions of National strategy for increase in transparency and fight against corruption;

2.2. each six months represent information on implementation of measures to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Commission on fight against corruption, provided by the Plan of activities for 2007 - 2011 connected with implementation of National strategy.

3. To the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic and Commission on fight against corruption to analyze condition of works on accomplishment of the Plan of activities for 2007 - 2011 connected with implementation of National strategy and to regularly provide to the President of the Azerbaijan Republic information on it.

4. Recommend Millie to Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic, courts, the Prosecutor General's Office, Judicial legal council, to the Commissioner for Human Rights (ombudsman), local government bodies of the Azerbaijan Republic to take necessary measures for accomplishment of the measures provided by the Plan of activities for 2007 - 2011 on implementation of National strategy.

5. It is regular to commission on fight against corruption to inform the public on the work which is carried out to the fields of fight against corruption.

6. To the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic within the powers to resolve other issues following from this Order.

7. This Order becomes effective from the date of its signing.

being guided by provisions of the national legal system, conventions of the United Nations, Council of Europe and other international documents in the field of fight against corruption,

encouraging educational measures and cooperation with institutes of civil society in fight against corruption,

considering importance of international cooperation in the field of fight against corruption and supporting efforts and the initiatives in this sphere,

The Azerbaijan Republic, confirming the political will in fight against corruption again, accepts National strategy for increase in transparency and fight against corruption.

I. Purpose and tasks of national strategy for increase in transparency and fight against corruption
