Agreement on health maintenance organization of the military personnel and members of their families, workers and employees of Armed Forces of the State Parties of the Commonwealth, Joint Armed Forces of the Commonwealth of Independent States

The State Parties of this agreement, hereinafter referred to as "State Parties", being guided by the Agreement between the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States on social and legal guarantees of the military personnel, persons discharged from military service, and members of their families from February 14, 1992, considering importance of medical support of the military personnel and members of their families, workers and the serving Armed Forces of the states of members of the Commonwealth, the Joint Armed Forces of the Commonwealth in maintenance of fighting capacity of troops and forces of the fleet, agreed as follows:

Article 1

Military personnel of Armed Forces of the State Parties of the Commonwealth, the Joint Armed Forces of the Commonwealth in the presence of medical indications go on: inspection and treatment in military-medical organizations of the states of the Commonwealth on non-discriminatory basis. In case of absence on the duty station or accommodation of military-medical organizations, and also in urgent cases, medical care is provided freely in civil healthcare institutions of the states of participants, irrespective of their departmental accessory.

Article 2

Medical care to members of families of the military personnel, workers and employees of Armed Forces of the State Parties of the Commonwealth, the Joint Armed Forces of the Commonwealth appears in medical institutions of local authorities of health care on identical conditions with citizens of the respective State Parties.

In cases when it is impossible (the closed, remote garrisons, groups of troops), medical care is provided in military-medical organizations of the specified garrisons, groups of troops.

Article 3

Sanatorium treatment and organized rest of the military personnel and members of their families, workers and employees of Armed Forces of gosudarstvuchastnik of the Commonwealth, the Joint Armed Forces of the Commonwealth are performed in military sanatoria, rest houses and tourist bases of the State Parties on contractual conditions taking into account the privileges established by the laws, and also regulations of gosudarstvuchastnik of the Commonwealth and the former USSR if its laws do not contradict the legislation of the State Parties.

Article 4

Maintenance costs of children of the military personnel, workers and employees of Armed Forces of the State Parties of the Commonwealth, the Joint Armed Forces of the Commonwealth in preschool institutions are made according to the procedure and the sizes established by the legislation of the State Party in the territory of which the child care facility is located.

Article 5

Sanitary and hygienic and anti-epidemic actions in military units, organizations, military schools, the companies and the organizations of Armed Forces of the State Parties of the Commonwealth, the Joint Armed Forces of the Commonwealth are performed according to the legislation of the State Parties in the territory of which they are, and in the Joint Armed Forces, besides, orders and directives of the Commander-in-chief of the Joint Armed Forces of the Commonwealth if they do not contradict legislations of gosudarstvuchastnik.

Article 6

The agreement becomes effective from the moment of its signing.

It is made in the city of Tashkent on May 15, 1992 in one authentic copy in Russian. The authentic copy is stored in Archive of the Government of the Republic of Belarus which will send to the States which signed this agreement, its verified copy.
