About the Nation-wide program of adaptation of the legislation of Ukraine to the European Union law
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:
2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine:
1) to bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;
2) according to the competence to provide adoption of the regulatory legal acts provided by this Law;
3) to provide reduction by the ministries, other central executive bodies of their regulatory legal acts in compliance with this Law;
4) for the corresponding year to provide funds for financing of the Nation-wide program of adaptation of the legislation of Ukraine to the European Union law in drafts of the laws on the Government budget of Ukraine.
3. This Law becomes effective from the date of its publication.

The nation-wide program of adaptation of the legislation of Ukraine to the European Union law (further - the Program) determines the mechanism of achievement of compliance by Ukraine to the third Copenhagen and Madrid criteria of acquisition of membership in the European Union. This mechanism includes the adaptation of the legislation, formation of the corresponding institutions and other additional measures necessary for effective right education and law enforcement.
The purpose of adaptation of the legislation of Ukraine to the European Union law is achievement of compliance of system of law of Ukraine of acquis communautaire taking into account the criteria pushed by the European Union (EU) to the states, intended to enter it.
Adaptation of the legislation of Ukraine to the legislation of the EU is priority compound integration of Ukraine of process into the European Union that in turn is the priority direction of the Ukrainian foreign policy.
Integral part of this Program is the List of acts of the legislation of Ukraine and acquis of the European Union in priority spheres of adaptation.
