1. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Ministry of Internal Affairs) is the central executive body which activities go and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is principal organ in system of the central executive bodies concerning forming and realization of state policy in the field of protection of rights and freedoms of man and citizen, protection of public order, ensuring public safety, protection of objects of the property right, interests of society and the state against illegal encroachments, traffic safety, nationality, registration of physical persons, immigration and counteraction of illegal migration.
2. The Ministry of Internal Affairs in the activities is guided by the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, and also the acts of the President of Ukraine and resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted according to the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and this Provision.
