The Council of CIS Heads of Government made on November 25, 2005 the Decision on modification and amendments in Regulations on Interstate statistical committee of the CIS according to which one of the main activities of Statkomitet is the analysis of tendencies of economic development of integration processes in the CIS, and among the main functions - preparation of analytical and information and prognostic materials about general economic situation, dynamics and tendencies of economic cooperation of the states of the Commonwealth.

For the purpose of realization of the accepted changes and amendments in Regulations on Statkomiteta SNG and according to the Decision of Council of heads of statistical services in Statkomitete the new structural division - department of the analysis and forecast in number of 6 people as a part of management of economic statistics is created. Now the department started preparation:

- information and analytical materials about the main social and economic and financial tendencies in gosudarstvakhuchastnik of the CIS and on the Commonwealth in general;

- data on the expected results of economic development of gosudarstvuchastnik of the CIS and the Commonwealth in general for the current year;

- projections of dynamics of the main macroeconomic indicators according to the approved list of statistics on the State Parties of the CIS and on average on the Commonwealth.

The legal decision of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the State Parties of the CIS of December 30, 2005 approves the liquidating act of abolition of the Headquarters on coordination of military cooperation of the State Parties of the CIS (55 people). At the same time the number of the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of Defense is increased from 10 to 20 people, the structure is specified, new employees, including specialists from the abolished Headquarters are picked up and appointed.
