About the state system of biosafety during creation, testing, transportation and use of genetically modified organisms
This Law governs the relations between executive bodies, producers, sellers (suppliers), developers, researchers, scientists and consumers of genetically modified organisms and products made on the technologies providing their development, creation, testing, research, transportation, import, export, placement in the market, release in the environment and use in Ukraine (further the address with GMO) with ensuring biological and genetic safety.
This Law is not applied to the person, fabrics and separate cages as a part of human body.
In this Law the stated below terms are used in the following value:
biological safety - condition of living environment of the person in case of which there is no negative impact of its factors (biological, chemical, physical) on biological structure and function of the human person in the present and future generations and also is absent irreversible negative impact on biological objects of the environment (biosphere) and agricultural plants and animals;
genetic safety - condition of living environment of the person in case of which there is no unnatural influence on human genome is absent any unnatural influence on genome of objects of the biosphere, and also there is no uncontrollable influence on genome of agricultural plants and animal, industrial microorganisms which leads to emergence in them of negative and/or undesirable properties;
organism, live organism - any form of biological existence (including sterile organisms, viruses and veroida), capable to self-reproduction or transfer of heritable factors;
genetically modified organism, the live changed organism (GMO) - any organism in which genetic material was changed by means of artificial acceptances of transfer of the genes which are not occurring in nature namely:
