Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. The basic concepts used in this Law

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) aquaculture - the activities connected with cultivation and (or) content, cultivation of objects of aquaculture;

2) aquaculture objects - fishes, water mollusks and Crustacea who get divorced and contain, grown up by subjects of aquaculture;

3) juveniles of objects of aquaculture - the impregnated caviar, larvae, fingerlings, yearlings and the two-year-olds of objects of aquaculture intended for their cultivation and (or) content, cultivation, and also stocking of reservoirs;

4) fish-breeding and biological reasons in the field of aquaculture (further - biological reasons) - complex of the scientifically based recommendations developed as a result of researches and scientific data, assessment of current status and potential of fishery reservoirs and (or) sites, fish-breeding ponds, fish-breeding pools and also use of the technologies connected with cultivation and (or) content, cultivation of objects of aquaculture;

5) authorized body in the field of aquaculture (further - authorized body) - the central executive body performing management and cross-industry coordination in the field of aquaculture;

6) subjects of aquaculture - the physical and (or) legal entities performing the activities connected with cultivation and (or) content, cultivation of objects of aquaculture;

7) digital system of aquaculture - the digital system of authorized body intended for monitoring and the analysis of development of aquaculture, maintaining the register of subjects of aquaculture and traceability of objects of aquaculture, including the products of its conversion, and also for collection and forming supplied and the information, ensuring digitalization in the field of aquaculture;

8) fish breeding - the direction of aquaculture connected with cultivation and (or) content, cultivation of fishes;

9) the fish-breeding pool - the reservoir and (or) design which are unsteadily connected with the earth, intended for cultivation and (or) content, cultivation of objects of aquaculture;
