About expansion of work on studying of life and activities, to perpetuating of memory of the compatriots who became the victims of political repressions

In recent years in our country large-scale work on comprehensive study of life and activities, perpetuating of memory of our fathers and grandfathers who gave the life in fight for independence of the Homeland and freedom of the people, became the victims of political repressions is carried out.

It should be noted especially that in 2021 - 2024 the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan rehabilitated over 1 200 victims of political repressions.

For the purpose of comprehensive strengthening of independence of the country, recovery and deep studying from the scientific point of view of unknown pages of our history, approval in the society of priority of human rights and freedoms as supreme value and on this basis of strengthening at compatriots, especially younger generation, feeling of participation in destiny of the Homeland, civic stand, bigger understanding of the value of today's peaceful, free and safe life by them:

1. Create the Republican commission on coordination of work on studying of life and activities, perpetuating of memory of the compatriots who became the victims of political repressions (further - the Republican commission), according to appendix No. 1.

2. Determine the main objectives of the Republican commission:

the organization of working groups for studying of life and activities of persons which became the victims of repressions, identifications of their names, collection, research and promoting which are stored in archives and the museums, libraries and funds of data and documents on their historical merits;

coordination of works on documentation of memoirs of descendants and close people of the victims of repressions, and also witnesses of events of that period, to collection of historical sources, the unique photos which are stored in family archives and libraries;

ensuring replenishment on regular basis of the State museum of memory of the victims of repressions, its departments in regions, and also the State museum of heritage of dzhadid data, physical evidences and documents, other corresponding exhibits;

for the purpose of recovery of historical justice in relation to repressed compatriots and bringing these data to the general public - further work according to the edition of the multi-volume set "Katagon of Kurbonlara" ("The victims of repressions") and entering of names of the victims of repressions into the symbolical book built in the memorial complex "Shakhidlar of Hotirasa" in the city of Tashkent;

organization of thematic scientific expeditions, cooperation with foreign funds, archives, museums, libraries and other scientific and educational organizations, and also specialists;

carrying out the spiritual and educational work directed to education at the younger generation of respect and honoring of memory of the ancestors who gave life for freedom of the Homeland, promoting of data on their courage and activities.
