In this Federal Law the following basic concepts are used:
seed farming - activities for production, procurement, processing, storage, realization, transportation and use of seeds of agricultural and forest plants, and also high-quality control and seed control;
seeds - the parts of plants (tubers, bulbs, fruits, saplings, actually seeds, compound fruits, parts of difficult fruits and others) applied to reproduction of grades of agricultural plants or to reproduction of types of forest plants;
high-quality qualities of seeds - set of the signs characterizing belonging of seeds to certain grade of agricultural plants;
sowing qualities of seeds - set of the signs characterizing suitability of seeds for crops (landing);
batch of seeds - certain quantity homogeneous by origin and to quality of seeds;
