About approval of the Instruction about procedure for opening, maintaining and closing of bank accounts

1. Approve the Instruction about procedure for opening, maintaining and closing of bank accounts according to appendix No. 1.

2. Recognize invalid some departmental regulatory legal acts according to appendix No. 2.

3. This resolution is approved with the Comissioner for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on protection of the rights and legitimate interests of subjects of entrepreneurship and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

4. This resolution becomes effective from the date of its official publication.

5. The paragraph one of Item 8 of appendix No. 1 to this resolution becomes effective since May 1, 2023.

The instruction about procedure for opening, maintaining and closing of bank accounts

This Instruction determines procedure for opening by banks of bank accounts to residents and nonresidents - legal entities and physical persons, including the physical persons performing business activity without formation of legal entity (further - the individual entrepreneur), to Dehkan farms, representations and branches of legal entities, and also procedure for maintaining and closing of accounts.

Chapter 1. General provisions

1. In this Instruction the following concepts are used:

the bank account - the account opened by bank for the client based on the agreement according to which the bank shall accept and enlist the money arriving into the customer account carry out orders of the client about transfer and issue of the corresponding money from the account and carrying out other account transactions;

the on-demand deposit account - the bank account on which it is recorded the means of the client issued or listed according to its first requirement;

the savings deposit account - the bank account on which it is recorded the means created on the basis of periodic fees of clients, sberegayemy for implementation of particular purposes and directed for these purposes or returned as a result of agreement cancelation;

correspondent account - the bank account opened in the Central bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - the Central bank) or in other bank, intended for carrying out interbank payments and implementation of settlement;

The national information base of bank depositors (further - NIBBD) - information base which is conducted by the Main center of informatization of the Central bank and provides when opening by banks to clients of bank accounts assignment of unique numbers by it (the client's code), maintaining the list of their accounts without preserving data on remaining balance of means, and also receipt of data on the corresponding customer accounts.

2. Clients can open the following types of bank accounts in banks:

a) on-demand deposit accounts;
