About safety of hydraulic engineering constructions

The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of safety of hydraulic engineering constructions.
The legislation on safety of hydraulic engineering constructions consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about safety of hydraulic engineering constructions then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
hydraulic engineering constructions - dikes of water storage basins, dikes on the rivers, Sai, channels and collectors, the constructions which are partitioning off beds of the rivers, water intaking, water throughput, water waste and bank protection constructions, hydroelectric power stations, pumping points;
preservation of hydraulic engineering constructions - package of measures for preserving hydraulic engineering constructions with temporary stop of their construction or operation;
safety of hydraulic engineering constructions - the condition of hydraulic engineering constructions allowing to provide protection of life, health and legitimate interests of citizens, property of physical persons and legal entities, the environment and economic objects;
the declaration of safety of hydraulic engineering constructions - the document proving safety of hydraulic engineering constructions;
