About professional qualifications

This Law governs the public relations in the field of recognition of professional qualifications within National system of qualifications.

Chapter 1. Basic provisions

Article 1. The basic concepts used in this Law

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) the qualification program - package of measures, used for assessment of conformity of the candidate applying for recognition of professional qualification, to requirements of professional standards, and in case of their absence - to qualification requirements to use of knowledge, skills in certain working conditions with use of certain equipment, methodology and (or) tools;

2) knowledge - the studied and acquired information necessary for accomplishment of actions within professional task;

3) skill - capability to apply knowledge and abilities, allowing to carry out professional task entirely;

4) informalny education - the education type received during daily activities out of the organizations of education and the organizations providing educational services, and not accompanied with issue of the document confirming results of training;

5) profession - the occupation performed by physical person and requiring certain qualification for its accomplishment;

6) the register of professions - the code of information on professions systematized electronically by which recognition of professional qualifications is performed;

7) the candidate applying for recognition of professional qualification (further - the candidate), - the physical person who addressed voluntarily, independently or in the direction of the employer for recognition of its professional qualification;

8) professional qualification - the extent of professional training characterizing ownership of the competences required for accomplishment of labor functions by profession;

9) recognition of professional qualification - assessment procedure and decision makings about the candidate's compliance to requirements of professional standards, and in case of their absence - to qualification requirements;
