For the purpose of the practical embodiment of initiative of the republic of the organization of system of preparation of professional personnel and carrying out research and creative works in the field of the international tourism, further development of historical and cultural and humanitarian links of state members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization:

1. Agree with the offer of the State committee on tourism development, the Ministries of the higher and secondary vocational education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and khokimiyat of the Samarkand region about creation in the city of Samarkand of the International university of tourism "Silk way" (further - University).

2. Determine the main activities of University:

providing according to national and international educational standards of high-quality preparation of professional personnel of the top skills in the field of tourism using modern innovative and scientific and pedagogical technologies, the latest developments of science and technology;

creation of educational and methodical literature in the corresponding directions and specialties of education, carrying out basic and applied scientific research with involvement of young students and specialists, implementation of experience of the lead foreign educational institutions in training system in the field of tourism;

development and deployment of the new educational programs and innovative forms of education directed to enhancement and upgrade of system of training in the field of tourism;

increase in scientific and pedagogical capacity of University by the regular direction of perspective young graduates on training in magistracy and doctoral studies of foreign highest educational institutions and research centers, active enhancement of pedagogical technologies and training methods;

creation of conditions for close integration of educational and scientific activities with productive activity;

organization of retraining and advanced training of specialists of subjects of the sphere of tourism;

implementation of tourist activities and activities for transportation of passengers in the field of tourism;

development of cooperation with the lead republican and foreign educational institutions and research centers, including by means of involvement of their specialists and experts in training process and carrying out scientific research, the organization of the international scientific and practical conferences, seminars and symposiums on discussion of topical issues in the field of tourism.

3. Determine that:

The university is the highest educational institution - resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the form of the legal entity, has the isolated property, has separate balance, answers for the obligations the money which is at its disposal and property;

the educational and methodical management and conducting educational process at University are provided with Committee on tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan with use of the advanced innovative and scientific and pedagogical technologies;

The university is included into organizational structure of Committee on tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
