being guided by aspiration to development economic and sci-tech cooperation in the field of agro-industrial complex on the principles of equality and mutual advantage,

considering historically developed commercial and scientific and technical ties between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus,

agreed about the following:

Article 1

Economic and the sci-tech cooperation between the Parties will be performed according to the legislation of the states of the Parties.

Article 2

The cooperation will be performed in the following main directions:

1. crop production, including seed farming of crops;

2. livestock production, including breeding case;

3. the food and overworking industries, including upgrade of the companies for production and conversion of food products;

4. development and enhancement of methods of managing in agro-industrial complex;

5. economy and agrarian policy: economic mutually beneficial relations in calculations when implementing trading activities in the field of agricultural industry and processing industry;

6. cooperation in the field of agrarian education, preparation and retraining of heads and specialists of the organizations of agro-industrial complex.

The Agreement can include other directions of cooperation according to the procedure, stipulated in Article the 9th this agreement.

Article 3

The parties, within the competence, according to the legislation of the states of the Parties will render assistance and the help to direct participants economic and sci-tech cooperation of each of the Parties to provide mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of agro-industrial complex in the conditions of the Parties of economic transformations which are carried out in the states.

The parties will promote implementation and expansion of mutually advantageous trade in agricultural products, materials, the equipment, processing lines for conversion and packaging of agricultural products.

Article 4

The cooperation within this agreement will be to be implemented in the following forms:

1. exchange of scientific and technical and economic information, results of scientific research, holding seminars, symposiums, exhibitions;

2. exchange of samples of seeds, farm animals, landing material, samples of machines and testing facilities;

3. joint surveys and developments on the problems which are of mutual interest;

4. exchange of specialists trainees.

The Agreement can include other forms of cooperation according to the procedure, stipulated in Article the 9th this agreement.

Article 5

The parties confirm the obligations which follow from the existing international conventions and agreements on questions of veterinary requirements for export and import of animals and products of animal origin.

Article 6

The parties, adhering to the obligations following from the existing international conventions and agreements on questions of quarantine and protection of plants which participants they are will cooperate in area of development and application of methods of fight against weeds and diseases of crops.

Article 7

For the purpose of coordination of works on implementation of this agreement of the Party create the joint Working group which will consider specific projects and programs of cooperation, to prepare offers on procedure for their implementation.

The joint working group will hold the meetings as required serially in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus. Meetings of joint Working group are drawn up by protocols.

Article 8

This agreement becomes effective from the moment of receipt of the last notification on accomplishment of the interstate procedures by the Parties necessary for entry into force of this agreement and will be effective within 5 years. Its action is automatically prolonged for the next five-year period if any of the Parties not later than six before the expiration of the next five-year term does not notify month in writing other Party on the desire to terminate this agreement.

Article 9

This agreement can be changed and added by mutual consent of the Parties. Modification and amendments is drawn up by the protocol signed by both Parties and which is integral part of this agreement.
