1. This Law determines the legal basis of activities of state bodies, subjects in the sphere of organic production and governs the relations connected with production, the address, marking of the following types of organic products:
1) products of animal and phytogenesis, including products of aquaculture, beekeeping;
2) the processed products of agricultural origin;
3) forage (fodder products);
4) vegetative seed material and seeds for cultivation;
5) the yeast used as food or fodder product;
6) the products collected and processed from forest, wild-growing plants and vegetable raw materials.
2. Operation of this Law does not extend to the relations connected with production, the address and marking of the organic products made for own consumption, products of hunting for wild animals and fisheries.
3. Products specified regarding 1 this Article shall meet rules and the requirements of the legislation in the sphere of organic production.
In this Law the following main terms, concepts and their determinations are applied:
1) biodynamic medicines - the organic medicines, including the organic fertilizers improving and revitalizing soil condition, and also increasing fertility of lands (parcel of land);
2) buffer zone - the part of the territory, the parcel of land of operators of organic production which is not involved in agricultural production, performing ecosystem and other special functions (protective, microclimatic, etc.);
3) genetically modified organisms (further - GMO) - the plants, animals or microorganisms transformed by methods of genetic engineering;
4) genetic engineering - set of methods, methods and technologies of molecular biology by means of which genetic material of plants, animals, microorganisms, cages and other biological units with results which cannot be received by methods of natural pairing and reproduction or natural recombination changes;
5) group certification - certification of group of operators of organic production with similar systems of housekeeping and production;
6) wild-growing plant - the plant or part of plant collected in the wild area which are not cultivated and do not contain within management of organic production;
7) additive - the substance added to the foodstuff, forages or other products influencing safety, consistence, color, taste, smell or other technical properties of products;
8) immunological veterinary medicines - vaccines or the serums for animals made for prevention of diseases of animals or treatment of diseases of animals;
9) ingredient - substance, including nutritional or feed additive, used in case of production or cooking or stern and present at end products including in the modified form;
10) ionizing radiation - high-energy emission of the radio nucleotides, capable to change molecular product structure, used for the purpose of fight against microbiological pollutants, pathogens, parasites and wreckers in products (as a rule, in foodstuff), preserving products or inhibition of physiological processes, such as germination or maturing;
11) sterns (fodder products) - any material, including processed, semifinished product or raw material which is intended for feeding directly to the animals used for production of food products;
12) marking - information on organic products placed in the form of texts, drawings, signs, symbols, other designations and (or) their combinations on packaging or on other type of the data carrier attached to packaging either placed in them or attached to them;
13) inorganic (traditional) production - production which does not correspond to rules of conducting organic production;
14) the operator of organic production - the physical person or legal entity performing production, collection, processing, conversion, packaging, storage, transportation, release into the stream of commerce and marking of organic products according to the legislation in the sphere of organic production;
15) certification body - the legal entity performing certification of organic production and/or organic products;
16) organic products - products made according to rules of organic production, having same value, as the "biological products", "ecological products" or other similar names in a short form used in the form of the designations "bio" or "eko";
